Differences in the number of men and women in the world have been identified
According to recently published data, it has been revealed that the distribution of the number of men and women varies in the twenty most populous countries in the world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Among them, in nine countries, the number of men exceeds that of women, while in another nine countries, women are more numerous. In the remaining two countries, the number of men and women is almost equally distributed.

In India, the number of men is significantly higher, accounting for 55.8 percent of the population. According to this indicator, India ranks first worldwide.

Egypt ranks second, where men make up 55.3 percent. In some countries, however, the number of women is considerably higher.

For example, in Russia, women constitute 63 percent of the population, which is 13 percent more than men. In Japan, women also make up 55.5 percent of the population.

In two large countries like Indonesia and Congo, the number of men and women is almost equal, with each gender accounting for about 50 percent. This analysis shows how the gender composition of the world’s population differs by continent.

This affects demography, the labor market, family life, and social policy. As for Uzbekistan, according to the data from the National Statistics Committee, as of April 1, 2025, the permanent population of the country amounted to 37.7 million people.

Of these, the number of women is 18,714,900, and the number of men is 18,982,900. These data indicate that the number of men and women in Uzbekistan is almost equal, maintaining a natural balance in society.
