Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia have decided to officially recognize the State of Palestine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision holds significant importance in the international political arena and was announced through independent statements by the prime ministers of the three countries. As emphasized by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, recognizing the State of Palestine is not just a symbolic step but serves to ensure peace and stability between the two peoples.
He also spoke about the exclusion of the HAMAS movement from the political arena and the priority of Israel's security. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also expressed support for the two-state solution, labeled HAMAS as a terrorist organization, and announced the introduction of new sanctions against its leaders.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stressed the necessity for the Palestinian administration to carry out democratic reforms and to determine its fate through legitimate means. All their statements highlighted the importance of HAMAS not participating in the political process and the release of the Israeli hostages.
The Canadian leader also announced that the Palestinian Authority is preparing to hold elections next year with the support of the international community. These decisions may give a new direction to the political situation in the West Bank and Gaza.
According to experts, there is a possibility of new changes occurring in the region in the coming months.
