North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced his readiness for talks with the US but emphasized that he will not give up nuclear weapons. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In his speech at the Supreme People's Assembly held on September 21, he stated that if the US stops demanding the abandonment of nuclear weapons and seeks peace, there are no obstacles to negotiations. According to Kim Jong Un, they will never give up nuclear weapons, and US policy in this regard causes serious problems.
He also noted that the world already knows well the actions the US took after forcing the country to abandon nuclear weapons. The North Korean leader clearly stated that he has no contact with the South Korean government.
He evaluated the meetings with US President Donald Trump as effective and constructive and emphasized that he received positive impressions from these dialogues. Kim Jong Un's statements have further intensified international negotiations on nuclear weapons.
In his opinion, if the US is ready for cooperation and willing to resolve issues on the path to peace, North Korea has shown that it is open and ready to cooperate. These words have revived important discussions on nuclear weapons in international politics.
