Children in Gaza suffered severe injuries, died
Filippo Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), provided information about the dire situation in the Gaza Strip. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to him, during the Israeli military operations that began on October 7, 2023, more than 4,000 children lost arms or legs within a year. As Lazzarini emphasized, the Gaza area is one of the places in the world with the highest number of children.

Every day, hundreds of children lose their lives, and many suffer severe injuries, becoming disabled. This situation seriously affects the future of an entire generation.

In his appeal, the Commissioner-General stressed that if this situation continues for a long time, the psychological and physical harm to children and future generations will intensify. He demanded an immediate cessation of hostilities.

According to official reports, since October 7, 2023, more than 65,000 Palestinians have died as a result of military actions in the Gaza area. The majority of them are women and children.

Additionally, over 167,000 people have been injured to varying degrees. Officials state that these figures are based only on official medical reports, and the actual number of losses and those affected may be even higher.

This situation poses a great threat to human rights and peace.
