US President Donald Trump announced that Turkey is ready to stop importing oil from Russia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
When asked directly whether Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan agreed to stop importing Russian oil, Trump did not give a direct answer. He said: "If I want him to stop, he will stop." According to Trump, this decision can be implemented because there are opportunities to purchase Russian oil from many other countries.
At the same time, he emphasized that it would be difficult to stop oil supplies from Russia to Hungary and Slovakia. The head of the communication department of the Turkish president, Burhaniddin Duran, stated on his Facebook page that important and effective results were achieved during the talks between the presidents of Turkey and the US in Washington.
According to Duran, the meeting with Trump at the White House took place in a very friendly atmosphere. Defense, trade, energy, regional, and global issues were discussed extensively during the meeting.
As a result, a number of major and significant achievements were made. These negotiations serve to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
