
On April 14, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in Tajikistan late at night, according to zamin.uz.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the earthquake struck at 5:44 AM (Tashkent time), 23 km from the city of Rashtra, at a depth of 5 km.
So far, there is no official information about casualties or damage.
On April 13, two strong earthquakes had occurred in Tajikistan. Their epicenters were near the Rashtra district, 180 km east of Dushanbe.
According to the US Geological Survey, the first earthquake was of 5.8 magnitude and was also felt in Uzbekistan. A tremor of 2 points was recorded in Tashkent.
Then, at 12:14 PM, a second earthquake occurred. EMSC specialists assessed it at 4.2 magnitude.
On April 13, RIA Novosti reported, citing Tajik officials, that a 3-year-old child had died as a result of the earthquake.
