HAMAS movement announced that it has lost contact with two hostages held captive as a result of airstrikes carried out by Israel. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
They are requesting Israel to halt airstrikes for at least one day. According to reports from international news agencies AFP and Reuters, the military wing of the Palestinian group – the Izzat-Din al-Qassam Brigades – stated on September 28 that after operations conducted in the Sabra and Tal al-Hawa districts of Gaza City, contact was lost with two Israelis, Matan Angrest and Omri Miran, who were taken hostage on October 7, 2023.
According to Reuters, HAMAS is demanding that Israel stop airstrikes for 24 hours starting from 18:00 local time in order to evacuate the hostages from the dangerous area. AFP recalled that HAMAS had previously lost contact with hostages holding Israeli and American citizenship but announced their release after a few days.
