Russia wants to reform the UN Security Council

According to China's Baijiahao publication, while the world is discussing Donald Trump's strong statements, Russia has surprised Japan diplomatically. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov proposed reforms to the UN Security Council. In his opinion, within the framework of the reforms, broader representation should be given to countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

At the same time, Lavrov announced Russia's support for adding Brazil and India to the list of permanent members of the Security Council. This became a serious obstacle for Japan, as Tokyo is also striving for permanent membership.

The publication emphasizes that Lavrov's proposal is diplomatically effective and may turn Japan's dream of joining the UN Security Council into an unfulfilled aspiration. This situation is expected to lead to new changes in regional politics.
