A Vietnamese artist entered the Guinness World Records. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to UPI, Lu Kong Nguyen has not cut his nails for 34 years, making him the owner of the longest nails in the world. The total length of the nails on both his hands reached 5.9 meters, which is even longer than the average height of a giraffe.
Nguyen dreamed of becoming a teacher in his youth and began growing his nails to give them a majestic appearance for this purpose. His religious beliefs also influenced this decision, as his father was a shaman.
Later, following his father's request, he gave up teaching but refrained from cutting his nails and started engaging in painting. He explains his refusal to cut his nails by saying that if he had to cut them, he would suffer both physically and mentally.
He also emphasizes that caring for such long nails requires great responsibility. When it rains, it is necessary to keep the nails dry because moisture can soften them and cause them to break.
He must always be careful in movement and work because if someone accidentally touches the nails, they can be easily damaged. Lu Kong Nguyen is attracting great interest worldwide with this unique achievement.
