Elon Musk's new comprehensive encyclopedia project
American renowned entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk announced a new project through the artificial intelligence company xAI. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This project involves creating an online encyclopedia called “Grokipedia,” which is expected to attract worldwide attention. According to Elon Musk, unlike the existing Wikipedia, this new encyclopedia will also be based on currently restricted sources that are not allowed to be cited.

The goal is to make the encyclopedia more comprehensive, covering various opinions and perspectives. The billionaire shared this information on his social media page on X.

The idea of Grokipedia arose due to Wikipedia imposing a citation ban on certain publications, including Fox News, Breitbart, Daily Caller, Epoch Times, New York Post, and Federalist. This restriction has caused much criticism.

For example, former investment banker John Lefevre called it a “one-sided restriction,” while investor David Sacks emphasized that using banned sources created a “great opportunity to rewrite Wikipedia.” In response to these views, Elon Musk confirmed that xAI has started creating an encyclopedia.

According to him, the new project “serves the knowledge of all humanity” and its results will be open to everyone. The billionaire sees this initiative not only as an improvement to Wikipedia but also as an important step toward fully understanding the universe with the help of xAI.

Additionally, Elon Musk previously criticized Wikipedia, stating on his social network X that it is not reliable for fact-checking. There are opinions that the new project could usher in a new era in the field of encyclopedias.

This initiative is expected to promote information freedom and increase the diversity of data.
