In India, doctors' prescriptions must be written clearly and legibly
The court in India emphasized that doctors' illegible handwriting can pose a danger to patients' lives. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The Punjab and Haryana High Court stated that prescriptions must be written clearly and legibly, as this is a fundamental right of the patient. According to experts, incorrectly written prescriptions can lead to the wrong dispensing of medicines, which may result in serious consequences, including death.

Therefore, it is crucial that writings are clean and understandable. According to the court ruling, doctors will now be required to write prescriptions in capital letters and clearly.

Additionally, a digital prescription system is planned to be implemented within two years. The Indian Medical Association also supports this decision and recommends that doctors make their handwriting clear and legible.

Experts emphasize that when electronic prescriptions are widely introduced, errors in dispensing medicines will significantly decrease. This initiative serves to enhance patient safety and improve quality in the healthcare sector.

Thus, the court's new decision is laying the foundation for significant changes in the healthcare system.
