The US Army has banned soldiers from growing beards. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was announced by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth. Additionally, new requirements regarding the height and weight of military personnel serving in the army are being introduced.
Physical fitness tests are planned to be conducted twice a year. According to Hegseth, there are no generals or admirals with excess weight among the military personnel who have passed through the Pentagon.
In the army, male soldiers are prohibited from growing beards and long hair, with some exceptions for certain special forces members. It was also noted that the new requirements may affect the number of women serving in the US Army.
However, these rules were not introduced with the aim of reducing the number of women. The new regulations are aimed at improving the discipline and organizational rules of the army.
