Electronic Arts (EA), one of the largest companies in the global gaming industry, has reached an agreement to be sold for 55 billion dollars. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The deal was signed by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. Affinity Partners operates under the leadership of Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump.
EA is considered one of the most famous organizations producing games worldwide. Its products include well-known games such as EA FC (formerly called FIFA), The Sims, and Mass Effect.
If the deal is successfully completed, it will be the largest leveraged buyout in the history of the gaming industry. Additionally, under this agreement, all public shares of the company will be purchased, and EA will become a private company.
As a result, the company will exit shareholders and market trading. This change marks a significant turning point in the gaming industry and is expected to lead to notable changes in EA's operations in the future.
