8 people died as a result of the Matmo storm in Vietnam
Heavy rain and flooding occurred in Vietnam due to the Matmo storm. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

As a result, eight people died and five were injured. According to the local natural disaster response agency, more than 15,700 houses were completely submerged, and over 400 houses were damaged.

Additionally, more than 14,600 hectares of rice and other agricultural lands were affected by the floodwaters. Over 97,000 livestock and poultry perished as a result of the flooding.

A total of 602 flood sites were recorded in the northern and central mountainous regions. Due to landslides, transportation was restricted and some roads were closed.

Vietnam's Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has implemented emergency measures to protect the population. The government is taking all necessary steps to mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster.

Relief and recovery efforts are ongoing in the affected areas. The safety of the population remains the top priority.
