HAMAS announced the end of the war as a result of negotiations in Gaza. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The head of the HAMAS delegation, Khalil al-Hayya, announced that the ceasefire agreement has come into effect. According to Reuters, HAMAS stated that this agreement was confirmed by the United States and mediators.
Al-Hayya emphasized that the agreement includes the establishment of a permanent security barrier, as well as the bilateral opening of the Rafah border crossing. Additionally, all Palestinian women and children imprisoned in Israeli jails will be released.
The statement said that nearly 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and about 1,700 Gaza residents detained since the conflict began are expected to be freed. These measures are being implemented to prevent future violence.
According to local sources, the implementation of the agreement will be ensured through logistics, security, and monitoring mechanisms. Currently, the parties are working on coordinating technical details.
The main goal is to transform the long-standing conflict into sustainable peace. It is worth noting that the prolonged conflicts around the Gaza Strip have further intensified the humanitarian crisis in the region.
This new agreement may create new opportunities regarding population movement, aid delivery, and prisoner exchanges.
