
From January to August 2025, the number of Uzbek citizens who traveled to Saudi Arabia reached 165.7 thousand. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure represents a 48.1 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from Kursiv Uzbekistan. According to official data from the State Committee on Statistics, during this period, 141.6 thousand people traveled to Saudi Arabia for tourism purposes.
Additionally, 23.5 thousand citizens visited close relatives, 548 traveled for medical treatment at healthcare institutions, 62 for work-related reasons, and 18 for education. In July of this year, more than 15 thousand Uzbeks arrived in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage.
Special flights covering nine cities were organized for this purpose. The flights were operated by local and international airlines.
The growing desire to travel to Saudi Arabia is an important indicator of friendly relations between the countries and development in the tourism sector. The increase in the number of Uzbek travelers indicates that the opportunities for our citizens to travel abroad have expanded.
