Two strong earthquakes in the Philippines killed seven people
At least seven people died as a result of two strong earthquakes that occurred in the Philippines on October 10. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The magnitudes of the earthquakes were 7.4 and 6.7 respectively. This information was provided by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the Philippines.

According to the official report, a total of 8,436 citizens were affected by the natural disaster. Among them, 1,265 people were evacuated to safe areas, and another 7,915 were forced to leave their homes.

The Civil Defense Agency's statement noted that seven people died as a result of the earthquake, and 11 others sustained various injuries. The strong tremors mainly occurred in the southern coastal areas of Mindanao Island.

It is worth recalling that on September 30, a 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred near the western coast of Palompon in the country. That disaster resulted in more than 70 deaths.

The Philippines is considered one of the most seismically active countries in the world. The country is located in the Pacific "Ring of Fire" region and is known for its high levels of volcanic and earthquake activity.

Therefore, it is crucial to be prepared for natural disasters and to strengthen measures against them.
