Japan presents floating city project
Japan has introduced a new innovative project in the field of engineering and architecture. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The N-Ark company in the country presented a project called "floating city of the future" in the summer of 2023. This project is named Dogen City.

It embodies not only technological capabilities but also new perspectives on a new form and order of human life. Local publications evaluate this idea as an important innovation that fundamentally improves the quality of life.

Dogen City will be built in the shape of a perfect circle four kilometers in length when viewed from above. This shape was chosen to ensure high stability in natural disasters such as storms or tsunamis.

Therefore, the project will create a comfortable living environment for people and also serve as a resilient ecosystem for the environment. The city will have three main zones.

The first zone is the residential ring, which will include housing, shopping centers, and recreational areas. The second zone is the underwater center, where data processing and scientific research laboratories will operate.

This center is naturally cooled using seawater. The third zone is an artificial bay, within this ring-shaped structure floating islands are located, forming the visual and functional center of the city.

The project engineers emphasize that Dogen City can accommodate 10,000 permanent residents and up to 30,000 visitors annually. The city area will include schools, offices, hospitals, hotels, stadiums, parks, and special areas for rocket launches and landings.

According to the company's calculations, the population in the city will use approximately 2 million liters of water, 7 thousand tons of food, and more than 22 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Supplying these resources is an important issue, and engineers plan to use solar, wind, and sea wave energy sources.

The construction phase of the project is expected to begin in 2030. So far, a specific location for the city construction has not been chosen, but the Japanese government and private investors have shown interest in working on this project.

Thus, Dogen City is planned to take its place in the world as a new living space.
