A weak magnetic storm, previously predicted by experts, has started on Earth. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Practical Geophysics Institute provided this information. It has been revealed that the level of disturbance in Earth's magnetic field has been recorded at G1 on a five-point scale.
As a reminder, on this scale, G5 represents the strongest storm, while G1 indicates the weakest storm. Earlier, specialists from the Space Research Institute under the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Siberian Branch had announced that a coronal hole on the Sun might affect Earth on October 12.
According to scientists, this situation may cause an increase in magnetic activity. Currently, experts continue to closely monitor the magnetic environment around Earth.
These observations are important for determining whether the magnetic storm will intensify or weaken. Additionally, since magnetic storms can affect human activities, especially communication systems, specialists keep the phenomenon under constant surveillance.
