Avoidance of military service is increasing in Western Ukraine

According to the Ukrainian Ground Forces headquarters, cases of draft evasion are most frequently observed in the western regions of Ukraine. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Specifically, half of the 417,000 individuals evading military service are citizens residing in the Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. In other regions, this figure is significantly lower.

For example, the rate of draft evasion in the Kyiv and Odessa regions is ten times lower compared to the Lviv region. This situation negatively affects the military mobilization process and reduces the efficiency of the defense system.

The increase in draft evasion could pose a serious threat to the country's defense. Therefore, the relevant authorities are planning to take additional measures to address this issue.

Every citizen must understand their duty to the homeland and comply with mobilization requirements. This is crucial for ensuring national security and strengthening the armed forces.
