After the war, the governance system in the Gaza Strip is undergoing a fundamental renewal. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Times of Israel, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdul’atiy announced that the administrative affairs of the region will now be managed by a special group consisting of 15 Palestinian technocrats. According to the minister, the candidates have already been selected and vetted by Israel.
This group, called the “administrative committee,” has the main task of stabilizing the lives of Gaza’s residents, restoring infrastructure, and reestablishing the civil system. Abdul’atiy emphasized that this group will carry out work aimed at improving the population’s living conditions, while the “Peace Council” will oversee and manage international financial aid.
According to the information, the new committee has been approved by Palestinian political factions, including HAMAS. From Egypt’s perspective, this agreement serves to reduce political conflicts during the transition period and stabilize the lives of the population.
Abdul’atiy also stated that HAMAS supports Donald Trump’s “peace plan” but will not play a political role during the transition process. Israel, in turn, must begin the phased withdrawal of troops from Gaza on the condition of ensuring the safety of civilians and guaranteeing the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid.
It should be recalled that US President Donald Trump previously proposed the initiative to establish a “Peace Council” to rebuild the Gaza Strip. According to his plan, Trump himself would lead the council and coordinate the reconstruction processes both financially and organizationally.
On October 10, 2025, the Israeli government approved an agreement with HAMAS to cease hostilities and release hostages. This was the first phase of the “peace plan” proposed by the Trump administration.
According to the agreement, the Israeli army withdrew to new positions while controlling 53 percent of the Gaza territory. On October 13, the last 20 Palestinian hostages were released.
Technocrats are specialists who prioritize practical implementation over politics, and their main task is to increase governance efficiency based on knowledge and experience without political conflicts. The new structure aims to ensure a peaceful and stable future for Gaza by relying precisely on such specialists.
