
According to the latest international research results, a list of countries that spend the most time reading books worldwide has been announced. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Experts studied countries with a high reading culture and analyzed the hours allocated to reading books throughout the year. According to the results, the US population spends an average of 357 hours per year reading books.
India ranks second (352 hours), and the United Kingdom is third (343 hours). Following them are France (305 hours), Italy (278 hours), Russia (223 hours), Australia (217 hours), Spain and the Netherlands (each 187 hours), as well as Switzerland (157 hours).
The research shows that societies that pay great attention to reading books also have high levels of intellectual potential and creative activity. Therefore, developing and widely promoting a reading culture is an important task for every country.
Reading books not only increases knowledge but also broadens a person's worldview and strengthens their thinking ability. Thus, every individual should try to allocate time for reading books.
