Fuel tanker explosion in Nigeria kills 30
A fuel tanker accident occurred in western Nigeria, resulting in a powerful explosion. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

At least 30 people died as a result of this unfortunate incident, and nearly 40 others were hospitalized with varying degrees of burn injuries. The incident took place on the AgaYe-Bida highway in Niger State.

According to preliminary investigation data, after the fuel tanker crashed, some local residents approached it to collect the fuel. Unfortunately, at that moment, an explosion occurred, and the spilled fuel ignited into a large fire.

Farukh Muhammad Kavo, chairman of the Nigerian Fuel Tanker Drivers Association, confirmed the incident and stated that nearly 30 similar cases have been recorded in Niger State this month. According to him, these tragedies once again highlight the need to warn the public about the dangers associated with fuel transporters.

Investigations into the causes of the explosion are ongoing. Relevant authorities are taking all necessary measures to determine the full causes of the incident.
