Trump radically renews the US military fleet
US President Donald Trump plans to radically renew the country's military fleet and introduce a new naval strategy called the "Golden Fleet." This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was reported by The Wall Street Journal citing sources. The main goal of the new fleet is to effectively respond to military threats coming from China.

Although the project is currently in the discussion phase, Trump is personally overseeing the process. Under the plan, the US intends to use large combat ships equipped with long-range missiles and small corvettes capable of rapid movement.

Additionally, a new class of frigates equipped with hypersonic weapons may also be created. According to reserve military expert Bryan Clark, Washington aims to fill the fleet with 280–300 ships and numerous unmanned drones.

In his opinion, the combined use of large and small ships will be effective against modern threats. Clark emphasized that the current fleet is insufficient to respond adequately to present threats, which has become especially evident in repelling Houthi attacks in the Red Sea.

For this reason, a new format fleet is necessary. Building large combat ships may not be completed during Trump's term, but the production of small corvettes is highly likely.

President Trump recently stated in a speech that he is not satisfied with the appearance of some fleet ships and described himself as a "very aesthetic person." He also recalled that by 2026, the US will have 19 new military ships and that his administration has launched the "Golden Dome" missile defense system.

“Analysts believe that the "Golden Fleet" concept reflects the Trump administration's intention to restore the US naval forces and strengthen the strategy against China and other geopolitical rivals. If the project is implemented, the new generation of the American fleet is expected to increase combat capability and further consolidate the US's leadership in global seas.

This could become a new symbol of power.
