
Approximately 8.6 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan from January to September 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure increased by 2.8 million or 49.3 percent compared to the same period last year. The majority of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan, numbering 2.4 million.
Additionally, 2 million tourists came from Kazakhstan, and 1.9 million from Tajikistan. The number of tourists from Russia was 757.1 thousand, from Afghanistan 343.6 thousand, and from Turkmenistan 275 thousand.
Furthermore, 176.9 thousand tourists from China, 129.9 thousand from Turkey, 55.8 thousand from India, and 35.2 thousand from South Korea visited Uzbekistan. These figures demonstrate the rapid development of the country's tourism sector and confirm the increasing flow of tourists.
The development of the tourism sector positively impacts the economy by creating new job opportunities. It also serves to enhance Uzbekistan's reputation in the global market.
The number of tourists is expected to increase further in the coming years.
