Trump aims to run for a third term
US President Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of running for a third term despite the country's Constitution prohibiting more than two presidential terms. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

He announced this during a conversation with journalists. When reporters asked Trump whether he might challenge the constitutional limit in court, he said he had not seriously considered the matter yet.

Additionally, recalling his high ratings in polls, he stated that if the people want, he is ready to run for a third term. Trump emphasized that candidates such as Vice President Jay Di Vance or Secretary of State Marco Rubio could also be among the Republicans in the upcoming elections.

However, he assessed himself as a president who brought peace to America, noting that his political experience and potential remain high. According to the 22nd Amendment of the US Constitution, a citizen is prohibited from being elected president more than twice, and changing this rule requires constitutional amendments.

Donald Trump stressed that this restriction should be reconsidered from a historical and political perspective. He said he stopped eight wars and saved millions of lives, and if the people want to trust him again, he is not against running for a third term.

According to political analysts, a broad national consensus would be necessary for Trump to be elected for a third term in the US. Amending the Constitution is a complex process that requires approval by both chambers of Congress and at least two-thirds of all states.

These views have sparked widespread public debate. Some political scientists evaluate Trump's statement as a pre-election strategy or political advertisement, while others emphasize that he is genuinely aiming for a third term.

Political observers say this statement could mark the beginning of a new era in American politics. His supporters call him a great reformer, while critics see him as a threat to democratic traditions.

Thus, although Donald Trump's idea of running for a third presidential term is currently at the level of political consideration, this topic has become one of the most discussed issues ahead of the upcoming elections in the US.
