
Five foreign nationals planning a terrorist attack in Almaty, Kazakhstan, have been detained. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The National Security Committee (KNB) of the country announced this. According to official information, the suspects developed a special plan to carry out a terrorist attack in September and moved to the preparation stage.
As a result of rapid operations conducted by KNB officers, their activities were uncovered and they were immediately arrested. Investigations are currently ongoing.
For security reasons, investigation details have not been disclosed yet. Additionally, eight Kazakhstani citizens suspected of promoting terrorism in September and October have also been detained.
It is reported that their activities may be related to spreading extremist ideas. The national security agencies continue to work on these cases and are strengthening measures aimed at ensuring public safety.
