
Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved the draft law on ratifying the agreement on the meeting point of the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The document has been sent to the Senate. The agreement was signed on March 31, 2025, in the city of Khujand during a meeting of the heads of the three states.
The document defines the exact point where the state borders of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan converge and depicts the border line in this area. According to the deputies, the adoption of the agreement will serve to strengthen neighborly relations, increase mutual trust, and develop strategic partnership among the three countries.
Additionally, the document will provide a legal basis for enhancing connections among the populations living in the border areas, developing trade, implementing joint infrastructure projects, and creating new jobs. This agreement will contribute to further strengthening regional stability and cooperation.
