According to data provided by Ukraine, during the military conflicts in Ukraine, 481 Uzbeks have been killed or gone missing. According to the figures, currently at least 2,715 Uzbeks serve in the Russian army.
By this indicator, Uzbeks hold a leading position among foreign military personnel. It should be emphasized that according to Uzbek legislation, the participation of the country's citizens in military conflicts on the territory of other states is strictly prohibited.
This law was introduced to ensure the country's security and to protect citizens from conflicts.
