The court trial has concluded. This was reported by the "RIA Novosti" news agency.

The incident occurred on June 28 of this year in the city of Sredneuralsk. It is known that the young man climbed onto the foundation of the Memorial complex dedicated to those who died in World War II and attempted to light a cigarette from the Eternal Flame.

This action caused public outrage and led to a court case. During the trial, since the defendant fully admitted his guilt, the case was considered under a simplified procedure.

The court classified N.M.'s actions as a crime under Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. This article is regarded as promoting Nazism by insulting Russian military honor symbols and the memory of defenders of the Fatherland.

As a result, according to the court's decision, the young man was sentenced to 320 hours of compulsory community service.
