Which professions do parents consider promising for their children? Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to the research results, 24 percent of parents want their children to work in the information technology field in the future. The IT sector ranks second in popularity.
Parents who want their children to work in the fields of economics and management are slightly fewer – 22 percent. Additionally, professions related to working with people, such as psychologist, teacher, and HR manager, remain in demand among parents (20 percent).
However, working in the media field does not arouse much interest among most parents. Only 7 percent of respondents expressed a desire for their children to become bloggers, models, or streamers.
The least demanded professions belong to creative fields: only 4 percent of parents want their children to become actors, artists, or musicians. Professions related to animals and nature (veterinarian, ecologist, cynologist) are mentioned with even less interest – only 2 percent.
Moreover, not all parents have sufficient information about the IT field. Only 9 percent of respondents said they clearly understand the duties of programmers or IT specialists.
Thirty-seven percent admitted they do not have a clear idea about this. Nevertheless, most parents believe that the IT sector ensures stable income and high demand.
