An unusual incident occurred in Taiwan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
An artwork exhibited in a local art gallery was accidentally destroyed by a janitor. The janitor mistook the piece for an ordinary dirty window and began cleaning it.
As a result, the artwork lost its original meaning, local media report. The piece was created by artist Chen Sun-chi and is titled "Inverted Syntax – 16".
It was presented as a unique example of contemporary art. The artwork took the form of a window covered with dust and partially draped with fabric, symbolizing the broken middle-class life in society.
However, unaware of the philosophical meaning of the piece, the janitor thought it was just a dirty window and decided to clean it. This action completely destroyed the artistic significance of the work.
The gallery administration described the incident as a "tragic misunderstanding" and stated that the janitor was unaware of the artwork’s meaning.
