A criminal case was initiated against the journalist by the Moscow prosecutor's office under Article 330.1 of the Russian Criminal Code. It is reported that Yuriy Dud was held administratively liable twice within a year for distributing materials without the foreign agent label.

It should be recalled that the Russian Ministry of Justice registered Yuriy Dud as a foreign agent in July 2022. This decision was due to the journalist earning income through monetization on the YouTube platform and failing to comply with the established procedure when quoting foreign agents.
