
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 occurred in Bangladesh on November 21. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to government data, at least six people died and about 100 citizens were injured as a result of the natural disaster. The US Geological Survey assessed the earthquake's magnitude at 5.5.
The earthquake caused damage to buildings in Dhaka city and several other areas. The tremors were also felt in the bordering states of India.
According to Muhammad Yunus, among the victims are students of Dhaka University, workers from Gazipur city, and residents of Narsingdi. Police reported that a six-story building collapsed, resulting in three deaths.
Another three people died trapped under roofs and walls. Health advisors reported that some of the injured are in serious condition.
Eyewitnesses emphasized the strong shaking of the ground, panic among people, and traffic congestion. The government has issued instructions to intensify rescue operations and provide assistance to the victims.
