During a school hike, a grizzly bear attacked the children. The incident took place 700 kilometers away from the city of Vancouver.
A grizzly bear attacked fourth and fifth grade students who were hiking in nature. During the attack, 10-year-old student Alvarez said he felt the bear getting very close.
Alvarez's mother emphasized that her child felt the bear's fur. In total, 11 people were injured as a result of the incident.
Two of them are in serious condition, and the condition of another two is assessed as moderate. One of the teachers who tried to protect the children managed to attract the bear's attention.
Following this event, classes at the school were temporarily suspended. The need to discuss safety measures in nature once again has arisen.
