
The death toll from heavy rain and floods in central Vietnam has reached 55. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Additionally, the fate of 13 citizens remains unknown. This was announced by the country's department for dams and natural disaster prevention.
As a result of the natural disasters, approximately 80 thousand hectares of agricultural land, including livestock areas, have been submerged. Furthermore, more than 3.2 million heads of livestock and poultry have perished.
Currently, over 28 thousand households remain flooded, and 946 houses have been completely destroyed. According to the department's data, the natural disaster caused damage to the country's economy amounting to 9 trillion dong (approximately 358 million US dollars).
The Vietnamese government continues appropriate efforts to mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster. At the same time, measures to provide assistance to the population and ensure safety have been intensified.
