Ukraine targeted two Russian oil tankers in the Black Sea. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These tankers were under sanctions and were heading to the port of Novorossiysk. There, they planned to load oil destined for Russia's foreign markets.
According to the Ukrainian Security Service, the tankers named Kairos and Virat were empty at the time of the attack. Officials emphasized that the attack carried out by Ukrainian sea drones caused powerful explosions and fires.
Footage obtained shows that the tankers suffered serious damage and are effectively out of operation. This situation has significantly damaged Russia's oil transportation system, it was noted.
Ukraine is calling on Western countries to take strict measures against Russia's illegal "shadow fleet." This fleet supports Russia's large-scale oil exports and helps finance the war.
These tankers are included in the international sanctions list and their operations have been halted.
