
Severe rains and floods caused by landslides in Indonesia have caused significant damage to the country. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Officially, it has been announced that at least 442 people have died as a result of the natural disaster. According to the emergency agency, the incident mainly occurred in the eastern regions of Indonesia, particularly on the islands of Java and Sulawesi.
Hundreds of homes were destroyed by the floods, bridges collapsed, and residential areas were submerged. Many roads were closed, and transportation came to a halt.
Currently, dozens of people are reported missing. Thousands of rescuers and military personnel are actively working in the affected areas to mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster.
The government has prepared temporary shelters for the affected population. Additionally, the Indonesian government has appealed to the international community for assistance.
