‘Samarkand-2028’ satellite will be launched
China's STAR.VISION company has decided to name one of its hyperspectral satellites "Samarkand-2028." This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This initiative is being carried out to support the International Astronautical Congress planned to be held in Uzbekistan in 2028. At the same time, a strategic memorandum was signed between the company and the "Uzbekcosmos" agency.

The memorandum aims to develop cooperation in the field of satellites, improve space technologies, and strengthen scientific and technological integration. Additionally, the parties agreed to collaborate on creating national maps of cotton and wheat using hyperspectral data.

These projects will serve to enhance Uzbekistan's potential in agriculture and space research.
