In the first 11 months of 2025, Uzbekistan became one of the most popular destinations among VTB bank clients for international money transfers. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was announced by the bank's senior vice president Aleksey Okhorzin at the "Russia Calls!" investment forum. The publication "Kommersant" reported this information.
According to the bank's reports, during this period, more than 9 million international money transfers were made by retail clients. This figure is five times higher compared to last year, and the volume of operations increased by 5.5 times.
The most in-demand destinations for money transfers include Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The average transfer amount is 26 thousand rubles (approximately 3.9 million soms).
Clients made international money transfers on average three times per month. VTB bank forecasts that the volume of international money transfers will increase further by 2026.
This is expected to be related to the expansion of service types and the addition of new destinations. According to the bank, the number of transfers could double.
