Information about secret negotiations in the Kremlin On the evening of December 2, 2025, representatives of former US President Donald Trump, Steven Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, held negotiations in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin that lasted nearly five hours. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the end of the negotiations, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov announced that the parties had mutually agreed not to disclose the content of the talks. It was also confirmed that the American representatives presented a document consisting of 27 points along with several additional documents, but the content of these documents was not revealed.
During the negotiations, territorial issues remained the main point of disagreement. According to Ushakov, while some proposals were acceptable to Russia, others were rejected.
Putin also expressed critical views on certain matters. Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Russia adheres to the principle of silence during peace negotiations and called reports about the rejection of the US plan inaccurate.
Before the negotiations, American representatives attracted the attention of Russian media by tasting crayfish dishes and other national foods at one of the restaurants near the Kremlin. In turn, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the Donbass issue remains the main disagreement.
According to him, the US goal is to develop conditions that provide security guarantees to Ukraine. After the negotiations, Whitkoff and Kushner planned to visit Europe, where they were supposed to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
However, journalists reported that this meeting was canceled. This situation once again demonstrated how complex the efforts toward peace are.
