Former US President Donald Trump positively evaluated the meeting of his special envoy Steve Whitkoff and his son-in-law Jared Kushner with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to Trump, the meeting went "very well." He stated that Vladimir Putin expressed a desire to end the war, develop trade relations with the US, and return to normal life.
However, Trump emphasized that it is impossible to predict the outcome of this meeting in advance. He commented, "It takes two to tango."
Additionally, Trump noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy lacks strong opportunities for victory in the war and pointed out that the Ukrainian side has not effectively utilized the current situation. In his opinion, there are many factors that could be used against Ukraine under the present circumstances.
According to Trump, Ukraine does not hold a strong position in the negotiations. He provided several arguments to support this.
At the same time, new negotiations are planned to begin in Miami on December 4. During this meeting, Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to meet with Rustem Umerov, the head of the Ukrainian delegation.
These negotiations represent the next stage of the diplomatic processes between the US, Russia, and Ukraine. Trump's statements shed light on the current situation in international relations.
