Russian President Vladimir Putin provided detailed information about the negotiations held in Moscow with US Special Representative Steve Whitkoff and Donald Trump's political advisor Jared Kushner. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the meeting, the parties discussed each clause of the peace plan proposed by Trump separately. According to Putin, these negotiations lasted quite a long time.
The US delegation brought a peace plan consisting of 27 points to Moscow. This plan is divided into four parts, with each part proposed to be reviewed step by step.
Although Russia evaluated this approach as "understandable and practical," no definite agreement has been reached yet. The plan is mainly based on agreements reached between Trump and US officials in Alaska.
Putin emphasized that Russia has made several proposals to stop the war in Ukraine. In particular, warnings were given to Kyiv to withdraw troops from the Donbass region and to refrain from offensive actions.
However, Ukraine has continued to choose the military path. Russia has stated its firm decision to liberate Donbass and Novorossiya by any means, including military measures.
Although there was a "useful and meaningful" dialogue between the parties during the negotiations, no final decision has been made to stop the war. Russia has indicated that it does not intend to abandon its military objectives.
US mediation efforts through Trump have so far yielded no results. Russia's main goal is to withdraw troops from Ukraine on its own terms and to gain full control over Donbass and Novorossiya.
