An unusual event took place in the city of Amreli in the Indian state of Gujarat. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Polara family, living in the village of Padarshinga, ceremoniously buried their "Wagon R" car, which had served them for 12 years. This event was covered by the Indian publication "Times of India."
The Polara family valued the car as a symbol of luck and blessing for the family. Therefore, instead of selling it, they decided to bury it with great respect.
They dug a 4-meter deep pit in an agricultural field and laid the car to rest with various religious ceremonies. More than 1,500 people participated in this event, including priests and religious scholars.
Video footage of the ceremony spread widely on social media. The footage showed the car decorated with garlands, covered with a green cloth, and laid to rest after religious prayers were recited.
The organizers quoted the car owner as saying: "This car brought us great success and respect. That is why we buried it with honor." It was reported that about 4 million rupees, or nearly 44 thousand dollars, were spent on the ceremony.
A festive feast was organized for the guests. Additionally, there are plans to plant a tree at the site where the car was buried in the future.
This act was emphasized as being carried out to preserve the family's historical values for future generations.
