This result allowed him to earn his first rating points. Additionally, in October, he continued his success by defeating a player rated 1559 at the Shri Dadaji Dhunivale Rapid Rating Open tournament.
In November, he also won tournaments held in the cities of Chhindwara and Indore, further increasing his rating. Finally, by defeating a player with a rating of 1696, he officially obtained a rapid rating.
Sarvagya's achievement became a great pride not only for his family but for the whole of India. His father, Siddhart Singh, said about his son's success: “It is a great honor for us that our child is the youngest FIDE rated chess player in the world.
We hope he will become a grandmaster in the future.” The previous record belonged to Anish Sarkar, who was 3 years, 8 months, and 19 days old. Now Sarvagya Singh has broken this record, showcasing the potential of a new generation in the chess world even more brightly.
This achievement serves as an inspiration for young chess players.
