Abdumalek Khalokov and Asilbek Jalilov successfully represented the Uzbekistan national team on the international stage. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the World Championship organized by the International Boxing Association (IBA), they delivered two important victories for our country. In the 60-kilogram weight category, Abdumalek Khalokov was scheduled to fight against Ecuadorian Kevin Mosquera.
However, the match was canceled because the opponent did not meet the weight requirements. The organizers recorded a technical defeat for Mosquera, and the victory was automatically awarded to Khalokov.
Thus, Khalokov was able to continue the tournament without entering the ring. Asilbek Jalilov, meanwhile, stepped into the ring against Turkish boxer Sadaiy Ahiskali in the 54-kilogram weight category.
During the fight, Jalilov demonstrated a high level of preparation and strong pressure, establishing complete control over his opponent. He outperformed his rival in every round with precise strikes and a high tempo.
As a result, the judges unanimously confirmed Jalilov's victory, awarding him a confident 5:0 win. The success of these two boxers became another significant achievement for Uzbek sports.
