
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that he held an important telephone conversation with the United States President's special envoy Steve Whitkoff and influential Washington political analyst Jared Kushner. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The main topic of the conversation was discussing ways to peacefully resolve the long-standing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. According to Zelenskiy, the dialogue was meaningful and effective.
In his statement, he emphasized: “We extensively discussed a number of important issues aimed at stopping the bloodshed. These negotiations were very important.”
During the conversation, the parties discussed planned future steps and new formats for Ukraine-US dialogue. The negotiations identified ensuring security, gradually easing the conflict, and enhancing the effectiveness of diplomatic efforts as key directions.
The participation of Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, and Chief of the General Staff General Andriy Hnatov in the meeting further underscored the significance of this dialogue. Zelenskiy also noted Ukraine's efforts to strengthen its position on the international stage and intensify diplomatic activity.
He highlighted close cooperation with Washington as a crucial factor in achieving peace.
