The city of Kremenchuk in Ukraine was subjected to a large-scale airstrike by Russia on Sunday morning. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the city mayor, the infrastructure suffered serious damage, and electricity and water supplies were cut off in some areas. So far, there have been no reports of casualties.
This attack occurred shortly after peace talks between representatives of Ukraine and the United States were held in the state of Florida. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described the talks as constructive and stated that the issue of ensuring Russia's compliance with the agreement was discussed.
European countries condemned the attack in Kremenchuk and expressed their solidarity with Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with Zelensky by phone and emphasized continuing efforts towards peace.
An international leaders' meeting is scheduled to take place in London on Monday. Various European countries are submitting their proposals to the US peace plan.
They emphasize the necessity of providing Ukraine with strong security guarantees after the war. Russia, however, has expressed opposition to the initiative of deploying international security forces in Ukraine.
