Former US President Donald Trump expressed his views on the war between Ukraine and Russia, making sharp statements. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In an interview with Politico, he criticized the Ukrainian leadership and US President Joe Biden. According to Trump, Ukraine needs to realistically assess the current situation and start seeking practical solutions.
He stated that Ukraine is losing on the battlefield and has lost large territories. Trump emphasized that this situation cannot be called a victory.
He also recommended considering the possibility of negotiations, taking into account Russia's geopolitical advantage, resources, and stronger position. In his interview, Trump called the war a political mistake by Biden.
He expressed deep regret over the deaths of young people in the war, emphasizing that this war did not start during his presidency. Trump also referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a "skilled trader," noting that he managed to secure significant financial aid from the Biden administration.
However, he pointed out that the results of these funds have not been sufficiently effective, drawing attention to the loss of 25 percent of Ukrainian territories. Trump also blamed former President Barack Obama for the loss of Crimea.
He stressed that it is time to hold elections in Ukraine and that democracy should be practiced, not just spoken about. According to Trump, if he had been president, this war would not have started and today's dangerous situations would not have arisen.
He even mentioned that under the current circumstances, the likelihood of a "Third World War" is high.
