The US government is strengthening the procedure for checking the personal information of foreign tourists. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the new regulation developed by the administration of President Donald Trump, visitors to the US will now be required to provide the history of social media accounts used over the past five years. This information was provided in the Federal Register.
Additionally, Customs and Border Protection may also require tourists to provide their email addresses and phone numbers. These measures are being implemented to tighten the US visa policy.
This requirement will also affect citizens of countries that do not require a visa. For example, citizens of the United Kingdom and Germany will need to obtain an online authorization to enter the US.
Previously, the Trump administration introduced new rules allowing US consulates to deny visas to individuals with issues such as obesity, cancer, diabetes, and heart diseases. These rules were justified by the fact that these illnesses could increase medical expenses for the US in the long term.
